Diving suit classification and use environment
Wetsuit classification:
1. Dry wetsuit: The dry wetsuit is a commonly used wetsuit, made of foam synthetic rubber, the general thickness can be from 3mm to 10mm, the cold water that penetrates is isolated by the clothes and will not permeate out and quickly conduct heat from the body It becomes hot. This isolation by inactive air bubbles can prevent the loss of body heat. A well-fitting wet-type diving suit can minimize the flow and exchange of internal and external water, and the isolation effect is better.
The main function of the wetsuit is to prevent the body temperature from losing too fast during diving and causing loss of temperature. Secondly, the diving suit can also protect the body from being cut by reefs and biological injuries such as jellyfish and sea anemones.
Secondly, the wetsuit must fit well. The less the exchange of sea water between the wetsuit and the body with the outside world, the better the warmth of the wetsuit. At present, the common wetsuit fabrics are nylon cloth and lycra cloth. The central lining of these two kinds of fabrics is foam rubber, so as long as the thickness is the same, the warmth of the wetsuit made by the two kinds of fabrics is the same.
The difference between these two fabrics is the surface cloth, one is nylon cloth and the other is Lycra. Lycra fabric has more threads per unit area and dense knitting, so it is more wear-resistant. In addition, the elasticity of lycra is better, so the diving suit made of lycra is less deformed.
   2. Wet diving suit: This diving suit is made of foam rubber or nylon cloth and is worn next to the body. Wet wetsuits must fit snugly against the skin, and a small amount of water that enters is not flowing between the wetsuit and the skin to maintain body temperature.
In cold waters, the use of dry wetsuits is more common, of course, they are also more expensive than wetsuits, and the styles are mostly one-piece. There are currently at least three types of dry-type wetsuits made of foam synthetic rubber, synthetic rubber and nylon. Dry wetsuits are much higher than wet wetsuits because they must have special waterproof zippers and other accessories, such as dry diving inflatable and exhaust devices (because air must be injected and discharged from dry wetsuits to maintain neutral balance, so The dry suit has a pipeline from the medium pressure interface of the first stage of the regulator to the inflation of the dry suit).
The use of dry suits must undergo special training, and learn how to control and use inflation №. The maintenance and maintenance method of the dry wetsuit is to soak the dry wetsuit in clean water and avoid sun exposure after diving, and store it in a ventilated and cool place as much as possible. The zipper should be lubricated frequently, and should not be folded for a long time to prevent the foam synthetic rubber from causing irreversible wrinkles.
